ET-04: Rustic Burly Maple Yellow Birch Stump/Root End TableThe wood used on this table is burly brown maple with a very pronounced live edge. The pedestal is a yellow birch stump . root that has its roots splaying outward. This stump is very precisely cut so that the bottom of the pedestal completely contacts the floor and does not rock. The top is very level. The corners are beaver tailing (shop made) yellow birch and the maple sides are mortised and tenoned in the corners. The drawer front is maple and the

The top is finished with 10 coats of lacquer (sprayed on) and has been sanded and polished through eleven grits of fine emery cloth

The Maple is beautifully weathered and incorporates two cast iron (circa 1900) antique maple syrup taps
