Wave PaintingThe Wave Painting series is the closest my work gets to hard edged abstraction, a style I rarely adopt. However, they fit within my varied output by being far removed from the source material something I always do to make work 'mine' rather than belonging to the subject. No matter the time of day, a sea will invariably appear monochrome, and the fluid motion of the water is the opposite of the hard edged, linear marks that populate the paintings. I
